Iglesia Luterana of Costa Rico

The Costa Rican Lutheran Church (ILCO) was founded on August 22, 1988, to promote the integral mission in the country, where a Gospel that calls to build signs of the Kingdom is preached, through the diaconia (social action) in urban popular communities and rural. The action of the Lutheran Church in Costa Rica is embodied in the reality of the poor and marginalized, to build justice and peace between human beings and the Environment. In all the activities of the Church, the aspects of gender equity, democratic participation, and autonomous organization are taken into account. ILCO has a presence in 30 communities benefitting 5,000 people with a membership of over 1,500 and 11 pastors.

Northwest Washington Synod

Every day members of the 121 congregations and worshipping communities in the Northwest Washington Synod are living out God's Good News of love and grace. In the far reaches of the globe, and right here in our communities, we join with our neighbors for the sake of abundant life. Locally our members help the homeless and the hungry by offering lunch and dinner, donating to food banks, hosting shelters, and by providing transitional housing and personalized support. Together the synod supports, connects, and guides the leaders and ministries of congregations, working together to achieve things on a scale and scope that we could never do individually. Our synod is one of 65 synods that make up the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
