Migrants who have been processed by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are placed at Mission Border Hope where they can stay overnight and are helped with transportation logistics to San Antonio and/or to their final destination within the country, while they wait for their asylum process to continue. Serving alongside the Methodist
Ministry of Mission Border Hope and the Catholic Ministry Frontera Digna, we respond together to essential daily needs of all migrantsfor food, water, clothing, hygiene, and personal essentials.
Emma Espino, Eagle Pass Frontera Ministries mission developer, with the support of the Eagle Pass Frontera Ministries Steering Committee and our Synod’s Migration Team, is actively engaged with the local community in Eagle Pass. Together we are listening, discerning, and visioning Spirit-led opportunities for diverse immersion experiences so that together we may also embrace the rich gifts, struggles, stories, and transformations that come from the peripheries of life and history. Stay tuned in as more is yet to come your way.
We are developing immersion opportunities for small groups to visit Eagle Pass to build relationships and help with serving the community. We are seeking volunteers to help get these experiences started.
