In Memory of Everitt Sliger

August 16, 1953 -January 7, 2022

Everitt Harvey Sliger, age 68, of Russellville, Alabama (formerly a Synod Authorized Minister serving in the Gulf Coast Conference), passed away on Friday, January 07, 2022 at North Alabama Medical Center.

Everitt worked for 31 years for Exxon as an instrument technician.  He loved fishing, ATVing, and was a JuDo instructor. He had lived in Russellville, Alabama for the last seven years, and enjoyed his time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death his parents, E.F. & Mary Ruth (McClurg) Sliger; and brother, Ernest Sliger.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years, Shirley West Sliger; daughter, Rhonda Sliger of Mabank, TX; brother, Edward Sliger of Florence; and a host of close friends and neighbors.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the friends, family, and church members who have offered prayers and support during this time of our lives.

A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date, the details of which will be made available as soon as they are clear.

We remember Everitt Sliger's family in our prayers and trust that the promise of the Resurrection is true and sure.

In Christ,

Bishop Sue Briner
