Interactive Advent Calendar
It’s a wonder-filled calendar built on a Google Slide that allows users to click to on a new door each day of Advent and be taken on an interactive journey through the themes and stories that prepare us for the coming of Jesus this Christmas. Individuals and families of all ages will experience videoed bible stories, music, recipes, crafts, adventures, rituals, games and so much more with this calendar.

This one and a half hour training is designed to build capacities for current and future members of ELCA congregational councils. Student Loan Forgiveness WebinarDecember 3rd The United Church of Christ and the NCC are co-hosting a session on Student Loan Forgiveness on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM ET.
Attorney Ashley Harrington, a senior level official from the Federal Student Aid office of the US Department of Education, will go through the process of consolidation of loans, public service loan forgiveness, and other methods to reduce and/or eliminate student loan debt for all, including religious workers and clergy.
Since the Meet-Up on Student Loan Forgiveness was so popular during the Christian Unity Gathering, we have collaborated to offer this additional webinar on Zoom for greater access. Registration is now open. Spread the word!

Lectionary Study for the texts in January 2022, Year CDecember 13th
This session will be led by the Rev. Dr. Delmer Chilton. Delmer Chilton grew up on a farm near Mount Airy, NC and received his education at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (BA), Duke Divinity School (Master of Divinity), Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (Lutheran Year) and the Graduate Theological Foundation (Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Direction). Ordained in 1977, Pastor Chilton has served parishes in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee; as Coordinator of Spiritual Formation Ministries at Hinton Retreat Center in Hayesville, NC (2002-2006), as an Assistant to the Bishop of the Southeastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (2008-2012), and as an Intentional Interim Minister in Lutheran, Episcopal, and Presbyterian congregations (2012-present). He is the cofounder and presenter of the weekly Lectionary Lab podcast, the author of several books on preaching and worship, and one collection of very short stories; "The Gospel According to Aunt Mildred: Stories of Family and Faith." Christmas Concert at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran ChurchDecember 11th Come experience the joy of the season with Rachel Nemiroff, pop worship artist from Nashville, Tennesse. This will be a special night of acoustic Christmas music! Doors open at 6:15pm for appetizers, CD sales and a chance to meet Rachael. $10 Individual $20 Family.
