The Commission for Communications assists the synod in having strong communication tools, such as the Vista, a 10 time-a-year publication delivered to every member of the Southwestern Texas Synod, and the Colleagues newsletter, a publication generated out of the synod office and delivered to all rostered members of the synod with pertinent news and information.

The Vista keeps Southwestern Texas Synod members informed on mission and ministry.
Every member of Southwestern Texas Synod congregations receives The Vista.
The Vista covers the people, congregations, and agencies of the Southwestern Texas synod. It does not attempt to duplicate churchwide news that is best covered by The Lutheran magazine.
