It is time to begin the process of nominations for election at the 2010 Synod Assembly. The nominations are guided by constitutional provisions S9.03 (Additional nominations may be made from the floor for all elections for which nominations are made by the Nominating Committee) and S9.08 (The Nominating Committee shall nominate at least two persons for each position to be filled by election) and S11.11 (With the exception of ordained ministers on the roster of this synod who reside outside the territory of this synod, each member of a committee of this synod or any other organizational unit created by this synod, shall be a voting member of a congregation of this synod). Conferences play a primary role in nominations for Synod Council and Churchwide Assembly. Other nominations are at-large. The Nomination Committee requests all recommendations for nomination to be sent to the Nominations Secretary by March 15, 2010, either by completing the On-Line Form which is sent by email directly to Jim Johnson, Nominations Secretary, or download and complete the Word Form and mail to: Jim Johnson, Nominations Secretary, 201 Coventry Lane, Seguin, Texas 78155.
